Car Buying Service in Maryland
Maryland's DC suburbs have some of the highest household incomes in the country. They also have the same car dealerships as everywhere else.
That means the same four-square negotiation tactics, the same finance office add-ons, and the same pressure to close before you have had time to think. The zip code does not change how dealers operate. It just changes how much they think they can get away with.
DMV Auto Concierge is an independent car buying service. We work exclusively on behalf of buyers, with no dealer affiliations and no commissions from any dealership. We handle every part of the car buying process: research, dealer outreach, negotiation, financing review, trade-in coordination, and delivery. You pay a flat $600 fee at pickup, and nothing before that.
We serve buyers throughout Montgomery County and the broader Maryland DC suburbs, including Bethesda, Silver Spring, Rockville, Gaithersburg, Germantown, Chevy Chase, and Columbia.

Two Reasons Maryland Buyers Use a Car Broker
Most of our Maryland clients come to us for one of two reasons. Some want a better deal and know they are leaving money on the table without professional help. Others simply want the entire process handled without giving up a weekend to do it.
Both are legitimate. The service works equally well for either.
For buyers focused on getting a better price:
Dealers make their money from buyers who come in unprepared. When you walk in without knowing the invoice price, the current manufacturer incentives, or what other buyers in the region are actually paying, you are negotiating at a disadvantage from the start.
We close that gap. We know what the car costs, what it should cost you, and where to apply pressure. We contact dealers before you ever step on a lot and negotiate the out-the-door price in advance. Most clients save between $1,500 and $4,000 on the purchase price alone. The $600 fee consistently pays for itself.

For buyers who want nothing to do with the process:
Some clients want a professional to take it completely off their plate. No research, no dealer calls, no test drives they did not ask for, no Saturday afternoons in a finance office.
We handle all of it. You tell us what you want. We source it, negotiate it, and arrange for the car to be ready for you. For clients who prefer delivery, we coordinate that too. We have sourced vehicles from outside the DMV region and arranged shipping when local inventory did not match what the client needed. The $600 fee covers the concierge work. Any shipping or delivery costs are passed through at actual cost, with no markup.
This approach is especially popular among Maryland clients buying luxury and premium vehicles, including BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Audi, Porsche, and Genesis. Certified pre-owned is often the right answer for this group, and we know how to evaluate CPO programs across manufacturers.

Maryland Communities We Serve
We work with buyers throughout the Maryland DC suburbs. Below are the communities we cover most frequently. If you do not see your city listed, reach out anyway. We serve the broader region.
Bethesda
One of our most active Maryland markets. Bethesda buyers tend to skew toward the convenience profile, with a strong preference for luxury and near-luxury vehicles. We handle sourcing, negotiation, and delivery for clients who want nothing to do with the process.
See the dedicated Auto Broker Bethesda, MD page.
Silver Spring
A diverse, dense community with a mix of federal workers, healthcare professionals, and young professionals. Silver Spring clients range from first-time buyers looking for a fair deal to experienced buyers who simply do not want to negotiate.
See the dedicated Auto Broker Silver Spring, MD page.
Rockville
Montgomery County's county seat has a wide range of buyers and a heavy concentration of federal and biotech employment. We work with Rockville clients on everything from practical daily drivers to higher-end vehicles.

Gaithersburg
Further up I-270, Gaithersburg is a large and growing community with significant technology and government contractor employment. We serve Gaithersburg buyers across all vehicle types and price ranges.
Germantown
One of Montgomery County's most populous communities. Germantown buyers benefit from the same full-service process as every other market we serve, including access to national inventory when local options are limited.
Chevy Chase
A quiet, high-income community straddling the DC-Maryland line. Chevy Chase clients frequently come to us for luxury and near-luxury vehicles, often with delivery as a priority.
Columbia
Howard County's planned community is a bit further out but well within our service area. Columbia buyers get the same service as everyone else: independent representation, national sourcing, flat fee.
What the Process Looks Like From Start to Finish
Whether your priority is price or convenience, the process follows the same basic path.
Step 1: Tell us what you want
Make, model, trim, color, must-have features, budget. If you are flexible on some details, tell us that too. Flexibility often creates room to find a better deal.
Step 2: We research and source
We pull current market data, identify the best-positioned dealers in the region, and determine whether local inventory is the right answer or whether we should look further out. For in-demand vehicles, we often find better pricing or availability outside the immediate DMV market.
Step 3: We negotiate before you go anywhere
We reach out to dealers directly and negotiate the out-the-door price before you are ever involved. You do not walk into a negotiation in progress. You walk into a done deal.
Step 4: We review your financing
If you are financing, we review the dealer's offer and flag anything that looks padded. The finance office is where dealers recapture margin lost in negotiation. We make sure that does not happen.
Step 5: Trade-in coordination
If you have a vehicle to trade, we coordinate the logistics and can get you a third-party offer before the dealer sees the car. That gives you a real benchmark.
Step 6: Pickup or delivery
You come to the dealer to sign and drive, or we arrange delivery. Either way, the hard part is already done.

Why Independent Matters
There are a few ways to get help buying a car. Dealer-affiliated programs, buying clubs, and online platforms all exist. The problem is that most of them still have some connection to the dealer side of the transaction.
Costco Auto Program, for example, routes buyers to a pre-selected dealer network and earns referral fees in the process. The pricing is often better than walking in cold, but you are still limited to that network, and the program's incentive is to close the deal, not necessarily to get you the absolute best price available.
We have no such arrangement. We are paid by you, not by anyone in the deal. Our only interest is getting you the best possible outcome on the vehicle you actually want.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do you only work in Maryland?
No. We serve the entire DC metro area, including Northern Virginia and DC proper. Maryland is one part of our coverage area.
Can you source vehicles from outside Maryland?
Yes. We have national sourcing capability. If the right car is in another state, we can source it and coordinate shipping. Shipping costs are passed through at actual cost with no markup.
Does the flat fee change based on the price of the car?
No. The fee is $600 regardless of whether you are buying a $25,000 commuter car or an $80,000 luxury vehicle. It is the same flat rate, paid only at pickup.
Do you handle leases?
Yes. Lease negotiation requires a different approach than a purchase, and money factor, residual value, and acquisition fees all matter. We review all of it.
What if I already know which car I want?
That is fine. Some clients come to us with a specific vehicle already in mind. We skip the research phase and go straight to sourcing and negotiation.
How do you handle trade-ins?
We coordinate trade-in logistics as part of the service. We can also obtain a third-party offer before dealer involvement, so you have leverage going into that part of the conversation.
