Car Buying Concierge Service

Some people want a better deal on their next car. Others just want to never think about it again.

If you fall into the second category, this page is for you.

DMV Auto Concierge is a fully independent car buying concierge service. You tell us what you want. We handle everything: research, dealer outreach, negotiation, financing review, trade-in coordination, and delivery logistics. You stay out of it entirely until it's time to pick up the keys.

One flat fee of $600, paid only at pickup. No dealer affiliations. No upsells. No surprises.

What "Concierge" Actually Means

The word gets used loosely, so here's what it means in practice.

When you hire DMV Auto Concierge, you are not getting a referral service or a dealer locator. You are getting someone who works exclusively for you, from the first conversation to the moment the car is in your driveway.

Research and vehicle selection. We identify the right make, model, trim, and configuration based on your priorities, not what happens to be on a nearby lot. If the right car is in another state, we find it there.

Dealer outreach and negotiation. We contact dealers directly, request out-the-door pricing, and negotiate on your behalf. You never have to step into a showroom or take a phone call from a salesperson.

Financing review. If you are financing, we review the terms before you sign anything. Dealer financing often includes built-in markup on the interest rate. We flag that before it costs you money.

Trade-in coordination. If you have a car to trade, we handle the logistics so you are not giving it away at the dealer under pressure at the end of a long negotiation.

Delivery logistics. For local purchases, we coordinate pickup or delivery. For out-of-state vehicles, we arrange shipping and handle all the details so the car arrives at your door.

How the Process Works

Step 1: Tell us what you want.

We start with a straightforward conversation about the vehicle you have in mind, your timeline, and any preferences around financing, trade-in, or delivery. If you are not sure exactly what you want, we can help you narrow it down.

Step 2: We go to work.

Research, outreach, negotiation. You are not involved in this part. We handle all dealer communication and will update you on what we find without burying you in details you did not ask for.

Step 3: We bring you a deal.

When we have a strong offer, we present it to you clearly. If you want to move forward, we guide you through signing. If something does not feel right, we go back and find a better option.

Step 4: You get your car.

Pickup, delivery, or shipping, depending on where the vehicle is coming from. Your $600 fee is due at this point, not before.

The entire process typically takes one to two weeks depending on vehicle availability and your timeline.

Who Uses a Car Buying Concierge

Our clients are not necessarily unfamiliar with cars. Many of them are busy professionals, executives, and families who simply have better things to do with their time than spend a Saturday at a dealership.

A few common situations:

You are relocating to the DC area and need a car quickly without local dealer knowledge or time to shop around.

You are buying a luxury or premium vehicle and want someone in your corner who understands CPO valuation, money factor on leases, and how to evaluate an out-of-state option without flying out to see it.

You are buying a car for a family member who cannot handle the process themselves and you do not want to do it either.

You have a trade-in that complicates the deal. Dealers bundle trade-in value and new car price together deliberately. We separate them and handle both.

You just closed on a house, had a baby, or started a new job. Life is full. The car can be someone else's problem.

Remote Purchases and Vehicle Delivery

One of the more underused parts of this service is US-wide vehicle sourcing.

The DC metro area has a strong selection, but it is not always where the right car is. Inventory varies by region. Pricing varies. Certain trim configurations are easier to find in other markets. If the best option for your situation is in North Carolina, Georgia, or California, we find it, negotiate it, and coordinate shipping directly to you.

A recent example: a client in Arlington wanted a specific Porsche configuration. The right car was in North Carolina. We sourced it, negotiated the price, arranged transport, and coordinated the trade-in pickup from their home. They never left their neighborhood.

That is what concierge means.

What It Costs

The fee is $600, flat. It is due at vehicle pickup, not before.

There are no hidden fees, no percentage of savings, no retainer. If for any reason we cannot find the right vehicle or the deal does not work out, you owe nothing.

The $600 covers the full scope of the engagement: research, negotiation, financing review, and coordination through delivery. Shipping costs for out-of-state vehicles are a direct pass-through at actual cost, not marked up.

Most clients who are focused on price savings come out $1,500 to $4,000 ahead after the fee. For convenience clients, the calculation is different: what is worth paying to have this completely handled? For most people, $600 is not a hard question.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I have to be local to use this service?

No. The concierge service is available to anyone in the DC, Northern Virginia, and Maryland area. For vehicle delivery, we can coordinate shipping from anywhere in the country regardless of where you are located.

What kinds of cars do you handle?

All makes and models, new and used. For used vehicles, we work with CPO inventory when available, particularly for luxury and premium brands where manufacturer certification matters.

Can you handle a lease?

Yes. Lease negotiation involves different variables than a purchase, including money factor, residual value, and acquisition fees. We review all of it before you sign.

What if I already have a car in mind?

That is a great starting point. Share the details and we will assess whether the deal makes sense, identify any red flags, and negotiate from there.

How do I get started?

Contact us through the site and we will set up a brief call to understand what you are looking for. No commitment required to have that first conversation.
